Hats and Bow Ties 13th Birthday Bash
Saturday November 3rd we celebrated a classy neon hat and bow tie affair. It was a smashing success! The party was in honor of a very special 13 year old’s birthday. If you are familiar with our work, you know that when we plan parties we pick a theme and integrate that theme throughout the entire party.
Our guest of honor has always loved wear fedoras and bow ties…he is definitely the classiest 13 year old boy that I know. So the obvious theme was hats and ties with some added neon for flair.

Planning started with some Pinterest inspiration and then we went straight to the craft table. We made more bow ties than I thought was possible! My favorite banner was the suit and bow tie baner pictured above. It was absolutely adorable above the buffet. Our display on the buffet goes to show that simple and DIY is sometimes the best way to go! We featured the goodie bags, bow tie gummy worm treats and wine glasses. And if you look closely you’ll notice the colored rocks in the wine glasses. Any guesses for what those are?? If you guessed fish tank rocks, you are correct!
But the decorations don’t stop there, they started before you even walked in the door. With banners in the doorway, hanging hats and balloons and another one of my personal favorites the photo booth. My team and I personally cut out and strung 435 circles to make this backdrop. And it was worth every second for how awesome it was for pictures!

Last but not least the menu! Of course we had bow tie pasta for the main course. But for desserts is where we really shined; with rice crispy treat bow ties and these adorable strawberry and blueberry bow ties. And to top it off bow tie napkin and silverware sets.
